Trade Journal

Get started

A futures trading journal for MES, MNQ, MGC and XAUUSD. Log each trade with what you felt and what you did wrong, then see where the money goes. Live and Prop accounts are tracked separately.

Free, and no new password. Your trades go to a private sheet in your own Google Drive. The journal can only open files it made. Privacy

Try the demo About 120 sample trades over five months. Nothing is saved. Connect a Google Sheet Trades go to your own sheet and follow you to any device. About five minutes.

Connect a Google Sheet

Do this once per device. The journal only talks to your sheet, through a small script you own. Keep the web app URL private: anyone who has it can read and change your trades.

1

Create a Google Sheet

Go to sheets.new and name it anything (e.g. "Trade Journal"). The journal sets everything else up for you.

2

Add the Apps Script

In the sheet: Extensions → Apps Script, delete the existing code and paste this:

3

Deploy as a Web App

  1. Press Ctrl+S to save
  2. Click Deploy (top right) → New deployment
  3. Click the gear icon next to "Select type" → Web app
  4. Execute as: Me
  5. Who has access: Anyone
  6. Click Deploy → Authorize access → sign in → allow
  7. Copy the Web app URL. It looks like https://script.google.com/macros/s/ABC.../exec

Every time you edit the script, create a New deployment (not "Manage deployments"), or the changes won't take effect.

4

Saved on this device only. Everyone sets up their own sheet.

Enter the Apps Script Web App URL (it starts with https://script.google.com/).
